About the Studio
JP Cello Studio
A place where music is studied seriously, played joyfully, and shared with the community.
The Studio
Welcome
JP Cello Studio is a private teaching studio dedicated to the art of cello playing. Whether you are picking up the instrument for the first time or returning to music after years away, the studio offers a thoughtful, personalized approach to learning.
Lessons are tailored to each student's goals — from classical technique and music theory to chamber music and ensemble playing. The studio also hosts the ELPIS Ensemble, an adult cello group open to players of all levels.

JP
Cellist & Studio Director
JP has been teaching and performing for over fifteen years, with a background in classical performance and a deep love for chamber music. After years of playing in professional ensembles and teaching at conservatories, JP founded this studio to create a more intimate, community-centered space for musical growth.
The teaching philosophy here is simple: music should be challenging, meaningful, and fun. Every student — from the youngest beginner to the returning adult — deserves patient, rigorous, and encouraging instruction.

How We Work
Technique First
A solid technical foundation makes everything else possible — tone, expression, and confidence all flow from good habits built early.
Student-Centered
Every lesson is shaped around the individual. Goals, pace, and repertoire are chosen together, not handed down from a syllabus.
Joy in the Process
Progress is important, but so is enjoying the journey. Music should feel rewarding at every stage, not just at the finish line.
Community & Performance
Students are invited to perform at recitals and join the ELPIS ensemble — because music is meant to be shared.
